Insurance
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to purchase insurance?
IF you are renting a Class C or Class B Motorhome, you will need insurance to cover your personal liability. Some of the larger insurance companies may provide you with an "endorsement" or "binder." If not, we have options through other carriers. IF you are renting a Travel Trailer, most often your personal liability will be covered by your towing vehicle. Please provide verified insurance 2 weeks prior to rental departure. IF you are not sure about your coverage, please call your personal insurance carrier. Call us at 970-426-1720 for any questions.
Can I take the RV off paved roads?
Our Class C Motorhomes can only operate on improved roads. Any damage to the Motorhomes due to off-roading, speeding or improper driving is the renter's responsibility. Travel on unimproved roads can lead to situations that require heavy machinery in order to remove the motorhome. These expenses will be the renter's responsibility. Roadside assistance WILL NOT cover negligence. Please contact us with any questions concerning where you will be taking any of the Class B 4 wd Sprinter Vans, the Toyota Truck, and/or our higher clearance travel trailers.
Can I take the RV or Travel Trailer to Canada or Mexcio?
At no time may the rental unit travel to Canada or Mexico.
Can I drive the RV if I take certain medications?
Please consult your physician or pharmacist as to your ability to operate our Motorhome and/or Travel Trailers while you are taking any medications. At no time shall the Motorhomes, Trucks and/or Travel Trailers be operated while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
What is my $1000 security deposit for?
We collect a $1000.00 security deposit the day before your rental departure. Renter must have a major credit card for security deposit. This deposity is held in case of any damages. Your deposit will be returned to you 48-84 hrs after rental period ends. Any exterior or interior damages will be deducted from the security deposit. If there is major damage, we will put a hold on your deposity and move forward through the insurance claim process. Depending on severity of damage will determine the release of any security deposit funds.
What are the most common damages due to?
Our #1 insurance claim is damage to the backend when backing up! Always have someone spot you when you back up the RV.
LOW OVERHEAD clearances and other overhead objects can cause serious damage to the roof of our units. The height of the Motorhomes are 12 feet and higher and is speific to the type of unit you rent. Special care must be taken AT ALL TIMES to avoid overhead objects!
NOT swinging wide enough around turns is another common reason for damages! Let the back axle of the RV be the pivot point for any turn. CAUTION at gas stations!
OFF-ROADING causes interior dirt to accumulate and shake internal componenets. Extra cleaning charges and internal damages may apply!
Each Motorhome and Travel Trailer is provided with a manual specific to its operation and will be reviewed before leaving the lot. Questions or concerns? Call us at 970-426-1720.
